“We all know more than we can tell” (Michael Polanyi) Most of our coaching engagements rely on exchanging ideas through the spoken word. Disciplines such as Art Therapy have long used visual imagery to draw out clients’ “tacit” forms of knowing—knowledge that is understood, but is unspoken and implicit. All of us can tacitly know and feel certain things but not have, or cannot find, the words to describe what we know and feel. In this session you will have the direct experience of coaching individually and as a team using different sets of visual images to promote deeper levels of conversation. There are several sets of images that are especially designed for coaching and facilitation. Ellen will explore the variety of ways to effectively use these visual images to create positive connections and spark different levels of conversation than are possible with words alone. Come and spend a remarkable evening with Ellen Moran and your ICF St. Louis Chapter on May 23rd! Ellen is a business psychologist, ICF certified executive coach, facilitator and speaker.
