Intro to Cognitive  Behavioral Coaching (CBC)

It is no secret that people today are experiencing significant levels of stress, both in their personal lives and the workplace. This stress often takes a toll on overall well-being and productivity. While effective mental health and stress management interventions exist, they are frequently out of reach due to a shortage of qualified mental health providers, high costs, or lingering stigma around seeking therapy.

Research demonstrates that accredited professionals trained in cognitive behavioral coaching techniques can effectively support clients in reducing perceived stress and enhancing well-being. Rooted in evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) practices, these techniques are solution-focused and supported by comprehensive scientific research. They empower individuals to understand how their thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors, helping them create meaningful change and move toward their goals with greater clarity and confidence.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn a brief history of CBT and how it is adapted for coaching with CBC.
2. Learn what to listen for and when it is appropriate to use CBC tools.
3. Learn several applied CBC tools to use right away with your clients.

Competencies addressed:  Maintains Presence, Listens Actively, Evokes Awareness

Participants will earn .5 Core Competency and .5 Resource Development CCEs for attending this program.
