Biography
Dr. Bethany Peters holds her PhD in leadership and intercultural education from the University of Minnesota, and has over 16 years of experience advising and teaching students from all over the world. In her career as a faculty member at the University of Minnesota, she provided intercultural training for international and U.S. students, consulted and coached faculty in cross-cultural communication, and conducted research examining the dynamics of international teams. She currently teaches in the PhD/DSL program in Organizational Leadership at Southeastern University, facilitating doctoral courses in intercultural communication, teamwork, and leadership. Dr. Peters also has experience teaching in Asia, and currently serves as a TESL faculty educator at Greenville University, mentoring K-12 instructors in linguistically and culturally responsive instruction.
Dr. Peters provides intercultural and leadership coaching through her coaching practice, www.theleadershipcoachinglab.com. She holds certifications in the Myers Briggs Types Indicator (MBTI), the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), and also has experience in working with Gallup's Strengths assessment as well as the Enneagram assessment.
