Biography
I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Vanderbilt Univ. with a BA degree. Then I went to Lexington, Ky to seminary and got a Doctorate. of Ministry in 1975. I married Bonnie Date after a whirlwind engagement period in 1973. We moved to St. Louis in 1974 when I became the Associate Pastor of Union Ave. Christian Church in St. Louis City. We moved to Manchester, MO where I became the Pastor of Community Christian Church in 1980 and stayed there until 2001, when I left to join an organization in St Louis to do Coaching and Consulting with Pastors and churches. I only was there for 2.5 years, and left to become a sef-employed Coach and Consultant with pastors and churches, a role I still fulfill in 2021.
We have two children, Brandon who lives in Kansas City, and Lindsay who is married to Kyle and lives in St. Louis with their two cute dogs, Whiskey and Barley. Bonnie has been a self-employed Speech Pathologist since we moved to St. Louis in 1974.
I am a PCC, and serve in several Coaching roles with the United Methodists.
