ICF St Louis The Gift of Coaching Program
Empowering Nonprofit Leaders with Coaching

We believe in the power of coaching to create lasting impact.
Through the Gift of Coaching Program, ICF St. Louis gives back to the community by offering nonprofit professionals at all levels access to transformative, one-on-one coaching.

Whether you’re in a leadership role, serving clients directly, or supporting operations, coaching can help you explore new perspectives, navigate challenges, and elevate the impact you make within your organization and the broader community.

The Gift of Coaching pairs nonprofit professionals with experienced ICF St. Louis coaches who volunteer their time to support participants’ growth, clarity, and lasting contribution to their organizations. Our approach leverages the diverse skills and experiences of our coaching community while allowing nonprofit organizations the flexibility to choose which team members will benefit most from coaching.

The Program
Four Pro-Bono Coaching Sessions
Each nonprofit professional receives four one-hour sessions with an ICF St. Louis coach who has completed an ICF-accredited training program. These sessions are co-created by the coach and participant to support reflection, growth, and meaningful progress toward the individual’s goals.
Flexible Coaching Delivery
Coaching sessions can take place virtually, by phone, or in person, based on what works best for the participant and their coach.
Further Your Coaching Journey
If participants wish to continue coaching after the initial four sessions, they can work directly with their coach to arrange additional sessions. Any ongoing coaching would be part of a separate agreement between the coach and participant, outside of the Gift of Coaching program.

Get to Know Your Coaches
Before you begin the application process, we invite you to explore the incredible coaches donating their time and talent this year.

2026 Gift of Coaching Coaches

The Process
Submit an Application – Choose the application that aligns with your role, either a nonprofit professional seeking coaching or as a coach volunteering to support the program.
Attend the Meet & Greet – Join us for an in-person gathering where nonprofit participants and ICF St. Louis Coaches connect. Participants will learn more about the coaching process, meet potential coaches, and indicate their top three preferences for pairing. Coaches will have the opportunity to engage with nonprofit professionals and gain insight into the meaningful work being done across the community.
Meet Your Coach – Before the Meet & Greet, nonprofit participants will have access to coach bios to begin exploring potential fits. After the event, coach-participant preferences will be reviewed, and the ICF St. Louis team will make matches to ensure strong alignment. All participants and coaches will be notified of their match via email and provided with contact information to begin the coaching engagement.
Begin the Coaching Partnership – Once matched, participants and coaches will sign a Coaching Agreement to establish clarity, accountability, and mutual expectations. From there, participants will engage in four confidential, one-on-one coaching sessions.
Reflect, Share & Strengthen – At the midpoint and conclusion of the program, both participants and coaches are invited to complete brief surveys. These reflections help assess progress, capture valuable insights, and inform ongoing improvements to the Gift of Coaching program.

The Community Impact
The Gift of Coaching strengthens the nonprofit sector by creating space for professionals to clarify goals, build confidence, and expand their capacity to lead. By investing in individuals at every level of an organization, we foster stronger teams, healthier workplace cultures, and deeper, more sustainable community impact.
